Foals For Sale
Upon adopting an older miniature donkey from a friend, we promptly found ourselves in love with these unique creatures and have decided to pursue building a small herd.
I have owned horses since I was 14 and been obsessed with them since before I could say the word horse. My parents were not "animal people" so my obsession with all creatures great and small was satisfied only by what strays I could sneak in and then beg to keep. My first horse was only acquired after years of constant begging and pleading!
From the moment I left home till the present, my home has been continuously flooded with animals of all kinds. I have owned, Tennessee Walking Horses, Rocky Mountain Horses, Appaloosas, Quarter Horses, Paints, and Miniature Horses. The ones that taught me more than any were the four nurse mare foals that we adopted at 3-4 days of age and bottle fed. Read about them on our animal rescue page!
After moving to the farm and selling our shire draft horses, we wanted some smaller size equines to go with the other farm miniatures. We added our beloved class B miniature horse, Dusty, in 2006. He is a gorgeous grey/white gelding. Buford came along to provide equine companionship for Dusty and then we were hooked! We adopted an older jennet in 2008 who came to her owners as somewhat of a rescue case. They built her back up to good health and sold her to us heavy in foal. We were all very worried about her delivering a foal considering her previous condition and age. As it turned out, she foaled the most beautiful jennet foal two days after we bought her! Mom and foal were fine and below is a picture of this beautiful foal we named WillowRidge Million Bells (Millie). Both Millie and Halley have been sold to some wonderful folks who we know will love them. Later in 2008 we added Sara, Ruby and Odessa (2 chocolate jennets and a grey/dun with NLP). This winter was a tough one for us. We lost our beloved Buford to a sudden collapse. He didn't have a lingering illness or suffer but the loss was very very sad. We will miss our old man very much.
Dusty still seemed to need an equine companion and in early 2009 we added a gorgeous little sorrel and white mini mare named Sunshine. Dusty loves her!
Also below is our beloved 23 year old gelding (Buford) who started it all!
And we really cannot forget Dusty who really started it all when I sought a companion for him
